Earthquake of 4.4 degrees was felt in the highlands of Chiriqui

An earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded this afternoon in the highlands of Chiriqui, as reported by the Institute of Geosciences of the University of Panama on its website. The institution reported that the earthquake occurred at 4:13 pm and was centered in the Valley of Hornito. The places near the epicenter of the quake were: Fortuna, Gualaca and Boquete, said the Institute of Geosciences. There are no reports of damage, but the movement itself was felt by the population, according to reports from the firefighters of the city of David. (La Prensa)
