The Executive Secretary of the Panama Subway and Minister of Canal Affairs, Engineer Roberto Roy, reported through his Twitter account that “the Panama Metro’s Train has been shipped to Panama”.
The trains are built in the factory of the French company Alstom located in Barcelona.

The first phase of Metro Line 1 will have 19 trains with a total of 57 wagons, with a maximum capacity of 250 people per wagon, calculated based on having 8 individuals per square meter.

At full capacity, Line 1 of the Panama Metro will have a fleet of 42 trains of 5 wagons per train, which will allow the system to meet the demand at that time.

Last April 18, in the XXI Expocomer 2013, a real scale model of the wagon of Panama Metro was presented. (Panama America)
